Policies

It is our wish that your stay be enjoyable and memorable. To help us provide you with the best possible service, please review the following policies and understand our need to abide by them. Call or email us with any questions you may have. 
 

  • CHECK IN time is 4:00 - 8:00 p. m. Please notify us well in advance, prior to your day of arrival, if you anticipate a later arrival.  
     

  • CHECK OUT is by 11:00 a.m.  
     

  • COVID-19 RULES: We expect that guests will refrain from checking into Somerset Getaways if they are experiencing any symptoms of illness. By now, we believe all of our guests are well aware of the risk of further COVID-19 spread, and as such, the risk they are taking when making new reservations. Therefore, all new reservations made on or after June 18th, 2020 will be held to our standard cancellation policy as listed below. 
     

  • Deposits: A 100% deposit is required at the time of your reservation. Use of a gift certificate or gift card must be indicated at the time of booking to avoid an additional fee.

  • We accept most major credit cards and U.S. Currency. Rates and policies are based on single occupancy with an additional fee for doubles and catered meals.   *If you choose to pay by credit card there is a 3% processing fee
     

  • Cancellation/No-Shows: Every reservation we receive is important and special to us. We take great care in preparing for your arrival – from room preparation to meal prep. Due to our size and the personal attention we offer our guests and our limited room availability we are currently unable to accept cancellations at this time. Your deposit is your commitment to us that you are reserving your room and our commitment to you that your room will be ready for your arrival. A request to change the date/move a reservation is considered a cancellation request because we are potentially losing the ability to re-book that room and all policies will apply.  Because we will strictly adhere to our policy, we strongly recommend you purchase travel insurance for the unexpected life event.
     

  • Children: Somerset Getaways loves children and welcome them into our home. Even if you are coming for a triathlon camp, you can bring your family. We have add-on services for children activities that they can do while you are training or relaxing. 
     

  • Rooms: This property does not have elevators, the majority of rooms are located upstairs with shared bathrooms. Noise-free rooms can’t be guaranteed.  
     

  • Exclusivity: Rooms and house use are for registered guests of Somerset Getaways only.  
     

  • Bathrooms: This property has shared bathrooms. There is one room (Camelot) with an ensuite bathroom (including jacuzzi tub) available. In the Cabin rooms (Arabian Night and bunk beds) a shared bathroom is located downstairs 
     

  • Hot Tub and Outdoor Patio: It is our hope that you will take advantage of our beautiful outdoor spaces. For your safety, please refrain from using glasses or glass bottles, especially while in the hot tub. Fun, plastic beverage containers are available on the dining room. Please let us know if you’d like an ice bucket, as well. Towels are available in the pool area in the storage closet next to the bathroom.  

  • Please use the hot tub with caution. Enter and exit the hot tub carefully, with no jumping or diving. Please refrain from using soaps or oils in the spa. Elderly persons and pregnant women should consult their doctor before use. Anyone with heart disease, diabetes, high or low blood pressure or any serious illness should consult with a doctor before using any hot tub.  
     

  • Smoking: Smoking is not permitted in guest rooms, indoor or outdoor common areas, nor anywhere on our grounds where it may impact other guests or pose a fire hazard. We will assess a $750 fee to your credit card for any violations of our no smoking policy and we reserve the right to ask you to leave the premises immediately. If the room is damaged or requires an excessive amount of cleaning; an additional cleaning fee will be assessed to your credit card at a minimum hourly rate of $95/hour and any damages will be assessed the value of repair or replacement. Our non-smoking policy includes all types of tobacco, marijuana, as well as e-cigarettes, etc. 
     

  • Candles: For the safety and security of all of our guests, we are unable to allow the use of open flames such as candles, etc. 
     

  • Parking: We offer convenient parking on our grounds at Somerset Getaways. 
     

  • Pets: For the safety, comfort, and convenience of all of our guests, pets are not allowed.
     

  • Country Life: Guests should be aware dogs/cats/farm animals reside at this property. Mosquitoes and other insects like to share our space. Please bring bug spray . 
     

  • DAMAGE AND/OR THEFT OF HOTEL PROPERTY: You are liable for any damage howsoever caused (whether by the deliberate, negligent, or reckless act) to the room (s), premises or property caused by you or any person in your party whether or not staying at the hotel during your stay.  Somerset Getaways reserves the right to retain your credit card and/or debit card details as presented at registration and charge or debit the credit /debit card such amounts as it shall in its sole discretion deem necessary to compensate or make good the cost or expenses incurred or suffered by Somerset Getaways as a result of the aforesaid.  Should this damage come to light after the guest has departed, we reserve the right and you hereby authorize us to charge your credit or debit card for any damage incurred to your room or the property during your stay, including and without limitation for all property damage, missing or damaged items, smoking fee, cleaning fee, guest compensation, etc.  We will make every effort to rectify any damage internally prior to contracting specialist to make the repairs, and therefore will make every effort to keep any costs that the guest would incur to a minimum.

    DAMAGE DISCOVERED AFTER CHECK-OUT: Guest Rooms found with waste strewn around, in complete disorder, and/or “trashed” will be subject to maintenance deep cleaning fee, administration fee and/or third party fees.
     
    DAMAGE TO ROOM: 
    Damage to rooms, fixtures, furnishing and equipment including the removal of electronic equipment, towels, art work, etc. will be charge at 120% of full and new replacement value plus any shipping and handling charges. Any damage to property, whether accidental or willful, is the responsibility of the registered guest for each particular room.  Any costs associated with repairs and/or replacement will be charged to the credit card of the registered guest.  In extreme cases, criminal charges will be pursued.
     
    DAMAGE TO MATTRESSES AND BEDDING: 
    Damage to mattresses and linen including; towels, mattress pads, sheets, bedspreads, blankets resulting from the use of body oils, make-up, shoe-polish, etc. will result in a charge for the special cleaning, repair or replacement of the damaged article.
     
    DAMAGE OR TAMPERING WITH FIRE DETECTION SYSTEMS/FIRE-FIGHTING EQUIPMENT:

    Somerset Getaways reserve the right to take action against any guest or visitor found to have tampered or interfered with any detection equipment throughout the hotel, including detector heads in public areas, guest rooms, break glass points and fire extinguishers.  Guests or visitors found to have tampered with any fire detection or fire-fighting equipment will be charged with any costs incurred by the hotel due to their actions and will be evicted from the hotel.  Depending on the severity of the guest actions, law enforcement may become involved at the hotel’s discretion.  Should the fact that fire-fighting or detection equipment had been tampered with come to light after the guest has departed, we reserve the right and you hereby authorize us to charge your credit or debit card for any damage incurred to your room or the Hotel property during your stay, including and without limitation for all property damage, missing or damaged items, smoking fee, cleaning fee, guest compensation, etc.

     

  • Policy Modifications: Somerset Getaways may amend these policies from time to time in order to meet changes in the regulatory environment, business needs, or to satisfy the needs of our guests, properties, strategic marketing partners, and service providers.
